The aim of Our project is to build a portable crane which is capable of lifting loads of up to 1000kg and moving loads by at least 4m. Keeping in mind the recent earthquakes which has caused a lot of problems in various countries ,designing a portable crane to lift and clear loose materials and heavy beams is indeed a good innovative idea. Our aim is to design and manufacture a crane which has great utility value and is attractive to NGO and Governmental organisations who wish to provide assistance to the disaster prone areas.
The crane will be especially designed to clear loose materials and heavy rubble at calamity prone areas, keeping in mind natural calamities like earthquakes.
The design of the crane will be that it portable and can be taken to the place required by a small team to clear Debris, where earthmoving and big cranes are not able to reach due to physical barriers or encroachments.
